Abstract
The discovery of a singular set of Chalcolithic/Ancient Bronze Age structures in
Los Alcores, specifically in the municipality of Carmona, is presented. The configuration
and characteristics of archaeological structures in a defined area will described, located
in the same Hill in the Alcor, followed by a comparative study and analysis of
documented parallels: wide, perfectly concentric circles encompassed by an ellipse,
figures marked by manmade rock outcrops; a substantial opening carved into the rock of
La Cornisa del Alcor in the shape of a half ellipse, within which a promontory is carved
into the rock with a rectangular shape and with astronomic implications; and three
necropolises. None of the structures that are described and analyzed have been
documented and registered. As such, the study confirms the existence of a new and
extensive heritage complex in Los Alcores that has been neither catalogued nor
registered.
